I've only had this unit for a week - and still do not understand everything. The unit seems to work fine, but the manual instruction seems to have been written by someone with extensive experience in the DVD, which does not possess. If like me, you're new to using a DVD recorder, I suggest you first find a friend who lives nearby who can help.

First, I must say that having DVD burner is about 1000 times better than a VCR. The advantage of having discs instead of tapes and not have to wait 5 minutes to rewind the film are impressive. That said, here are the things I love about this particular recorder.
- It is easy to use. I read the manual from beginning to end and there are still some things that were discovered. There are so many buttons on a remote control that I keep forgetting everything they do. A couple of buttons seem redundant because you can do the same thing by pressing the "functions" button.
- It took a few weeks to learn everything to schedule recordings. I kept screwing and receive error messages. There are many things regardless of instructions I had to learn by trial and error.
- The machine has frozen several times. I found a way to reset the resolution problems Guide manual. It is not difficult to solve, but I'm afraid I've only had this machine a few weeks and I had to restart several times.
- Sometimes when I go back to "Play" and suddenly jumps back to a point even earlier in the disk (sometimes 30 to 45 minutes before). I think it's a problem with the machine instead of records, but, as happened with dozens of albums from different manufacturers.
- It is slow to respond. We need the machine for at least a minute to power up and takes several seconds to start and stop recording. I own two of these units .... I bought my first one year and just bought my second one for our bedroom ... I use one in our living room all days and DVD-RAM, finally damaged after 10 months of constant use ... but the record or not expensive .. I keep a package of five DVD-RAM on hand just in case ... note the unit comes with a DVD-RAM which does not come with HDMI cable .... you must buy two separate things ... but make sure your TV is equipped with HDMI .... This unit comes with the old style of three sheets of composite cable for old games ... The only complaint I have about these units is the fact that I DO NOT like the two main buttons on the top ... In the On / Off button Open / Close Tray ... I always feel accidentally touching the buttons, especially when I am the dust .... Or is Dust Off? whatever ... I recommend this model of Panasonic DMR-EZ28 because I love mine ...

Just what I needed
I bought this DVD for almost a year and I'll admit openly they have not read the manual nothing, have no idea how to do everything that is available. I use it mainly to record shows while I am in class or at work, then watch them shortly after. I did not want to pay a monthly fee for DVR cable company and decided try it. I bought the DVD that can be saved and time again and it worked very well. Erasing a DVD takes very little time and menus to adjust the backrest is easy to navigate. The picture quality is nothing to get excited, but I'm not saving movies or anything if it works for me.
I currently have running cable to the recorder and the recorder Acer Monitor connected to my computer via HDMI - the love that player has a digital tuner. The picture quality is not the biggest watching TV but DVD playback when the image is very beautiful.

Memorex DVD + RW worked fine on this machine once the DVD is formatted (every time). However, when I recorded on my Sony RDR vxd655 Panasonic will not play. What is the difference between the Panasonic TH-37PX80BA plasma television and the TH-37PX80B?
The first one has an 'A' at the end of the product code. I know they are almost identical, if not totally identical, but usually the extra letter at the end stands for something, but I can't find out what in this case. Any ideas?
i think its for different regions. like the us version might have us at then end instead of BA or B.
